The first month of 2025 is coming to an end, and we have to talk about the type of content to be implemented in HC2 from now on.


Before we get into that topic, let's talk about the content already developed for this month:


I had a lot of questions about how to use the albums that were available for this month. My initial idea was that the photos from the Test/Exam event would be used to create a new encounter in a new five star area since it had enough photos to create a pretty good quality encounter. The thing is, the second one seemed much more complete, so I thought it would be better to use the smaller one for the event and the other for a new challenger. With that, Ella is back from HC1, and I tried to make the battle somehow reminiscent of her in the first game, which is actually a hard task, that album was quite unique. Turns out that it's not exactly the same thing, but I was pleased with the result, hope you all like it.Still on this month's development, I've been getting feedback for a while now that some events in Hero Corruption 1 were original and creative, like the race between the hero and a girl in the park. So this time I've implemented an event that should scratch the same itch, just like the massage room in the previous update.


Now, about the content going forward: Lately I've been focusing on visual content than gameplay itself, I have the impression that HC2 already has a lot of mechanics and adding more of that could make everything very confusing.I really like adding new stuff to play around, but I think we've reached a point where we need to be careful about it, so that we don't waste resources.


I want to make it clear that I'm not talking about content for existing mechanics, like new traits, buffs, equipment, QTE, etc. But entirely new mechanics that could become redundant or underused.


I'd like to know how you guys feel about this, are you satisfied with the type of content that's being added? Would you like more mechanics or gameplay? More quality of life? Don't be afraid to share your thoughts, any feedback is welcome.


And finally, v1.40 should be up by Monday, February 3rd.

I love how the game have come so far, but I seen to be stuck on the meta while grinding (maybe cause I needed to reset my game twice, once because of the uptade and another time cause my phone was having trouble updating to 1.36b) my save to get ready to fight upper girls, for me the 2 most viable paths are focusing on damage and then agility or focusing on vitality to get money on the tavern, so I would love to see some balancing changes or different ways to advance the tree, also if anyone wants to share their char builds and starts here I would find it very helpful

Thanks for the feedback gladiator As for different builds, some people like to use 'Serenity's Shawl' with a high CON, I've also seen all-in builds with the 'Last Resort' technique and the 'EXP Ring' and 'Nameless Blade' combo

My personal go-to build when playtesting is the boring attack/agi too, so I kind of use this build as a middle ground when balancing the game (admittedly not always successfully 😅)

Not sure if it has already been reported elsewere, but I found the erica&margot fight to be bugged as of 1.36b, I was using a build based on the shawl that does damage when waiting and a high constitution, I beat both the gals multiple times (although I never managed to beat them both at the same time without falling down in between) but they never stopped swapping (always at full health), not sure if it is a bug or if I am supposed to beat them all withouth ever falling down.

That's definitely a bug, thank you for reporting anon.


I managed to fix it but unfortunately it will only be available in the next version (v1.45), let me know if you find anything else
